The following Special Issue will be published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (IJMS, ISSN 1422-0067, http://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijms/) and is now open to receive submissions of full research papers and comprehensive review articles for peer-review and possible publication:
Special Issue: Biocides
Website: http://www.mdpi.com/si/ijms/biocides/
Guest Editor: Prof. Dr. Joseph Oliver Falkinham
Deadline for manuscript submissions: 30 November 2011
You may send your manuscript now or up until the deadline. Submitted papers should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere. We also encourage authors to send us their tentative title and short abstract by e-mail for approval to the editorial office at ijms@mdpi.com.
This Special Issue will be fully open access. Open access (unlimited and free access by readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent citations as indicated by several studies. Open access is supported by the authors and their institutes. More information is available at http://www.mdpi.com/about/openaccess/. Article Processing Charges (APC) are of 1000 CHF for well prepared manuscripts submitted before 1 October 2011. The APC for manuscripts submitted from 1 October 2011 onwards are 1400 CHF per accepted paper. For details see: http://www.mdpi.com/about/apc/.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors before submitting a manuscript: http://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijms/instructions/. Manuscripts should be submitted through the online manuscript submission and editorial system at http://www.mdpi.com/user/manuscripts/upload/.
The International Journal of Molecular Sciences (IJMS, ISSN 1422- 0067) is an open access journal providing an advanced forum for chemistry, molecular physics and molecular biology. It is published by MDPI online monthly. Papers published in the IJMS will receive high publicity since the journal is freely available online. IJMS is covered by leading indexing services, including PubMed (Medline), the Science Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science) and Chemical Abstracts. Full-text articles are also available through PubMed Central. The most recent Impact Factor for the year 2009 is 1.387.
MDPI publishes several peer-reviewed, open access journals listed at http://www.mdpi.com/. The Editorial Board members, including several Nobel Laureates (http://www.mdpi.com/about/nobelists/), are all leading active scholars. All MDPI journals maintain rapid, yet rigorous, peer-review, manuscript handling and editorial processes. MDPI journals have increased their impact factors, see the Editorial "Continued Growth of the Impact Factors of MDPI Open Access Journals", http://www.mdpi.com/1420-3049/15/6/4450/.
